Communicating with the Gods through the Tarot

author: High Priest Zevios Metathronos

A simplified guide on how to communicate with the Gods through the Tarot. All external tools are reliant on the practitioner's level of development.

Step 1: Blessing the Tarot Deck

The first step in preparing for a divine Tarot reading is to bless your deck in a formal ritual dedicated to Zeus, the king of the Gods. This ritual serves to consecrate the deck, aligning it with the divine will and ensuring that it speaks the truth when the cards are used. Here is a simple ritual to bless your Tarot deck. You will need your Tarot deck and a white candle.

Consecrating the Deck

Invoke Zeus in a Formal Ritual: Stand before your altar and invoke Zeus, calling upon his power and presence. You may use a traditional invocation or create your own, speaking from the heart.

Consecrate the deck: As you visualize the power of Zeus infusing the deck, speak words of blessing and consecration, such as:

"By the power of Zeus and His Gods, who are the bringers of truth to those who can face it, I consecrate this deck, that it may speak the truth and reveal the divine will."

"May this deck be a vessel of wisdom, a tool of the Gods, and guide me, their Initiate, to the best of my divine understanding."

Seal the ritual: Close the ritual by thanking Zeus for his presence and blessing, and by sealing the deck with a final invocation or prayer.

IMPORTANT: This deck must be kept out of reach, is not for games, and must not even be touched by other people, let alone non-Zevists. It is imperative that this deck is treated as a personal sacred tool.

Step 2: Praying to Your Guardian through Zeus

Before conducting the Tarot reading with this sanctified deck, it is essential to pray to your Guardian Daemon through Zeus, seeking their guidance and oversight. This prayer should be heartfelt and sincere, acknowledging the divine hierarchy and the role of your Guardian as a conduit of the Gods' will. Here is a sample prayer:

"Great Zeus, king of the Gods, I call upon you to bless this reading and to guide my Guardian Daemon to oversee it. [Guardian's Name, if you do not know it, just mention 'my Guardian Daemon'], I pray to you through Zeus, seeking your divine insight and guidance. May this reading be a vessel of your wisdom, a tool of the Gods, and a guide to my path. I ask for your protection, your guidance, and your truth. Bless me, Father Zeus."

Step 3: Conducting the Tarot Spread

With your deck blessed and your prayer offered, you are now ready to conduct the Tarot spread. Choose a spread that resonates with your question or intention, and lay out the cards with focus and intent. As you lay out each card, visualize the power of Zeus and your Guardian Daemon infusing the reading, guiding your hands and your mind.

Types of spreads include the Celtic Cross, three cards, or one card. It all depends on your preference.

Step 4: Meditating on the Gods and Deciphering the Message

Once the cards are laid out, take a moment to meditate on the Gods, visualizing their sigil, and decipher the cards based on their guidance. Allow their energy to fill you, guide your interpretation of the cards, and reveal the divine message.

As you meditate, allow the symbols and archetypes of the Tarot to speak to you, revealing their hidden meanings and divine insights.

Remember that the accuracy and depth of the reading depend on your spiritual advancement and connection to the divine. If you are not yet a highly advanced magician, the reading may be less clear or less accurate. However, with practice, dedication, and spiritual growth, your readings will become more profound and more aligned with the divine will.

Warning: Caveats and Considerations

While a divine Tarot reading can provide powerful insights and guidance, it is essential to approach this practice with humility and discernment. The Gods do not speak in riddles or vague, ambiguous terms. Their messages are clear, direct, and powerful. Ambiguity can reflect your own indecisiveness in some cases. If it appears, decipher it accordingly.

If a reading feels unclear or uncertain, it may be a sign that you are not yet ready to receive the divine message or that you need to deepen your connection to the Gods.

The Tarot is a tool, a vessel for the divine will. It is not a substitute for personal responsibility, discernment, or spiritual growth. You cannot blame your own choices on "what the Tarot says," and these techniques are not shared so you can blame the Gods or anything of the sort.

The insights and guidance provided by a divine Tarot reading should be integrated into your life, your decisions, and your spiritual path, if they are sound and logical. They should not be used as a crutch or as an excuse to avoid personal responsibility.
