The Power That Was Stolen From You

You've been lied to your entire life about what you are.

The Abrahamic religions told you that you're born broken. Born sinful. Born in need of salvation from outside yourself. They told you your nature is corrupt, your desires dangerous, your mind untrustworthy. They told you to kneel, to beg, to confess, to submit. They told you that power belongs to God alone, and that for a human to seek power is the original sin.

This is the most destructive lie in the history of the human race. And it was told deliberately. The truth is the opposite: you are powerful. The Gods made you powerful. The enemy exists, in large part, to make sure you never find out.

Prometheus: The Fire That Was Meant For You

The myth of Prometheus is the most important myth in Western civilization. Hesiod tells it in the Theogony (521-569) and Works and Days (42-105). Prometheus, whose name means "Forethought" (Προμηθεύς), was a Titan who loved humanity. He saw that humans lived in darkness, without knowledge, without fire. And he stole fire from the heavens and gave it to mankind.

Hesiod, Works and Days (50-52):

"Κρύψε δὲ πῦρ· τὸ μὲν αὖτις ἐὺς πάϊς Ἰαπετοῖο ἔκλεψ' ἀνθρώποισι Διὸς παρὰ μητιόεντος ἐν κοίλῳ νάρθηκι."

"He hid fire; but the noble son of Iapetos stole it back for mankind from Zeus the counselor, in a hollow fennel stalk."

Fire in the ancient world was never merely physical flame. It was knowledge, consciousness, the divine spark within the human soul. The Stoic philosopher Chrysippus identified the cosmic fire (πῦρ τεχνικόν) with divine reason itself. When Prometheus gave fire to humanity, he gave them the capacity for spiritual awakening.

The Christian reading: "Prometheus defied God and was punished. Humans shouldn't seek divine knowledge." That's the reading of the enslaver. The deeper reading, understood by the Orphic and Platonic traditions, is that the fire was always meant for humanity. The myth dramatises the cost of bringing divine knowledge into the material world. Zeus knew the fire would be given. The entire drama was part of the plan.

The fire is inside you now. It always was.

The Serpent: What They Told You Was Evil

In every ancient tradition, the serpent is a symbol of wisdom, healing, and spiritual power. The serpent on the staff of Asclepius is still the symbol of medicine today. The serpent on the caduceus of Hermes represents the dual currents of spiritual energy rising through the body. In the Vedic tradition, the same energy is called Kundalini (कुण्डलिनी): the coiled serpent at the base of the spine that, when awakened, rises and produces enlightenment. In Egypt, the Uraeus on the pharaoh's crown represents the awakened spiritual fire granting sovereignty over the self and over the cosmos.

In every case, the serpent represents the power within the human being to transform itself.

And in Genesis, the serpent is cast as the villain. The serpent offers knowledge. The Abrahamic "God" demands ignorance: "Do not eat from the tree of knowledge." The serpent says: eat, your eyes will open, you'll be like Gods (Genesis 3:5). For this, humanity is punished.

The crime of humanity, in the Abrahamic story, is seeking knowledge. Every Ancient Religion on earth says the opposite: seek. Question. Rise. The serpent isn't your enemy. It's your spine. The fire isn't forbidden. It's your birthright.

What the Power Actually Is

Iamblichus, in De Mysteriis (III.11):

"The soul, having been purified through sacred rites, participates in a higher life, receives divine energy, and attains the activity of the Gods."

This is instruction, not poetry. Meditation calms the mind and opens the channels through which energy flows. Vibration (sacred sounds, names of power, mantras) activates specific energies within the body. Energy work directs Prana (Sanskrit), Ka (Egyptian), Pneuma (Greek) through the body's centres. When awakened and balanced, they produce health, clarity, power, and the transformation of the soul.

Plato himself alludes to this in the Phaedrus (246d-e), describing the soul as a charioteer driving 2 winged horses: one noble, one base. The work of the soul is to train both horses, to master the vehicle, to ascend toward the divine realm it came from. A description of actual inner work, the kind the Zevist undertakes through daily practice.

These practices were the common inheritance of humanity before they were criminalised. The burning of the Library of Alexandria. The destruction of the Serapeum. The closure of Plato's Academy by Justinian in 529 CE. The murder of Hypatia. The persecution of initiates for centuries. All aimed at one goal: to ensure you'd never learn what you're capable of.

You're learning it now. The fire is returning. Use it.
