Zevism encapsulates the Cosmic Spiritual Order preserved across the elder civilisations of mankind: the Ancient Greek, the Egyptian, the Sumerian and Akkadian Mesopotamian, the Sanskrit Vedic, the Norse, the pre-Zoroastrian Iranian, the Anatolian and Hittite, the Celtic, and the elder sources from which all these descend.

Zevism is the operational and applicable whole of the Initiatory Rites of the Gods across the aeons.

The Gods recognised across these traditions are one and the same. They are the same eternal intelligences known to different peoples under different names.

The central practice of Zevism is meditation. It is as essential to the soul as food is to the body.

The serpent of the Ancient Gods is the symbol of the kundalini, the fiery creative force coiled at the base of the spine. Its awakening transforms the human mind and soul.

The serpent also corresponds to the double helix of DNA. The elder traditions understood the unity of the spiritual and the biological from their earliest records.

We work directly with the Gods. We engage the Divine Intelligences as living realities.

THE RELATIONSHIP AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

There are no mediators in Zevism. The soul saves itself, by its own discipline, in alignment with Ma’at, under the guidance of the Gods.

The Temple exists to provide structure, doctrine, and the companionship of fellow initiates. It does not perform spiritual labour on behalf of those who refuse to perform it themselves.

Responsibility belongs to those willing to bear it. Liberty is the natural condition of the responsible soul.

The Gods accept us as we are and guide us toward what we may become.

THE MERITOCRATIC ORDER

We rank by Ma’at, not by race or origin. The Gods recognise the Theophoric soul wherever it appears.

The Gods are not bound to a tribe. The Gods do not have a chosen people. Any individual of any race, nation, or prior religion who comes with respect for the Gods is welcome among us.

We repudiate the doctrine of differential racial creation, of racial supremacy, and of all biologically essentialist hierarchies. Without qualification.

THE DAEMONS

We honour the Daemons as our allies and guides. We do not practise the coercion or spirit-abuse taught in the classical medieval grimoires.

KNOWLEDGE AND CIVIC LIFE

We advocate all learning, all inquiry, all free thought.

Zevism holds that the spiritual sciences and the natural sciences are continuous. The elder traditions understood this long before the modern disciplines came into being.

We support the separation of religious institutions from civic government.

We respect the religious freedom of all who practise their own traditions in peace, and we expect that reciprocity in return.

WHAT THE TEMPLE OF ZEUS DOES NOT DO

The Temple of Zeus does not perform blood sacrifice of any kind, animal or otherwise. The practice is foreign to Zevism and forbidden in the doctrinal corpus.

The Temple of Zeus does not proselytise. We do not approach anyone. We do not pressure anyone to join. The path is open to those who seek it.

The Temple of Zeus does not engage in political activism in its institutional name. The religious life and the political life belong to different orders.

ON THE RELIGIONS THAT CURRENTLY PRESIDE

The religions that now occupy the public sphere are recent constructions in the timescale of human spiritual history. We predate all of them by thousands of years.

In the course of their displacement of the elder faiths, those religions inverted Good and Evil as the elder peoples had known them, and transformed the Ancient Gods of mankind into figures of evil. We do not abide by this inversion.

We define the Ancient Gods by who They have always been. We do not accept the categories imposed by the religions that came after them.

We are not at war with the present-day religions. We treat their followers, where they live in peace, with the same peace.

CLOSING ASSERTIONS

Zeus has been honoured under many names. We recognise Him by His true Names. He does not require wealth, power, or coercion to keep His followers.

We believe in freedom of religion, independent thought, and personal decision.

The Ancient Gods are real. They have been worshipped for as long as mankind has remembered them. They will be worshipped long after the institutions that have slandered Them have fallen away.

Zevism is the religion by which the Ancient Gods are honoured in the present age. The Temple of Zeus is the institution that bears this religion forward.

We do not require the permission of any later authority to exist. The Gods predate every authority that might wish to grant or withhold such permission.

The Temple of Zeus stands under the authority of Zeus, under the Cosmic Law of Ma’at, and under the eternal sovereignty of the Divine Intelligences.
