The New Aeon of the Gods

We're entering a new aeon: the Age of Aquarius. Aquarius is the 11th sign of the Zodiac, and 11 is one of the most significant numbers in the Zevist tradition: the number of the soldiers, the number of completion through duality.

The Precession of the Equinoxes

The astronomical phenomenon behind this transition was first documented by the Greek astronomer Hipparchus of Nicaea (c. 190-120 BCE), who observed that the equinoctial points shift slowly along the ecliptic. The full cycle, the "Great Year," takes approximately 25,772 years (NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, current estimate). Each astrological age spans roughly 2,160 years: the time it takes for the vernal equinox to precess through one zodiacal constellation.

The Gods placed immense emphasis on the movement of the planets, stars, and constellations. They left their marks in stone: the Egyptian Sphinx, constructed during the Age of Leo (approximately 10,500 years ago, based on the geological water-erosion evidence documented by Robert Schoch, Voyages of the Pyramid Builders, 2003). The scarab represents the Age of Cancer. The rows of ram's heads throughout Egyptian and Middle Eastern temples mark the Age of Aries. The monolithic sculptures of the twins mark Gemini. These were not decoration. They were cosmic chronometers, left by beings who tracked cycles spanning millennia.

In 1962, the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn all aligned in Aquarius. Within one Saturn cycle (approximately 29 years), the computer age had emerged worldwide. Technology has since accelerated at a pace unprecedented in recorded history.

The Vedic Perspective: The Yugas

The Vedic tradition provides a parallel framework for understanding cosmic time. The Yugas describe four ages in a descending cycle: Satya Yuga (the Age of Truth, where humanity lives in full spiritual awareness), Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga, and Kali Yuga (the Age of Darkness, where spiritual ignorance dominates). The word Satya (सत्य, "Truth") shares the same root as Satan/Satanas: SAT, meaning "Being, Truth, That Which Is."

According to the Surya Siddhanta (an ancient Indian astronomical text), the transition out of Kali Yuga brings the return of knowledge, the dissolution of false religions, and the re-emergence of the Gods who were suppressed during the dark age. The parallels with the astrological transition from Pisces (the age of faith, belief, institutional religion) to Aquarius (the age of knowledge, technology, direct spiritual experience) are exact.

The Collapse of the Abrahamic Institutions

The signs are measurable. The Pew Research Center (In U.S., Decline of Christianity Continues at Rapid Pace, 2019) documented that the percentage of Americans identifying as Christian fell from 78% in 2007 to 65% in 2019, while "religiously unaffiliated" rose from 16% to 26%. In Europe, the trend is even more pronounced: the European Social Survey (2018) found that in multiple countries (Czech Republic, Estonia, Netherlands, United Kingdom), the religiously unaffiliated now constitute the majority.

The Catholic Church, the original Christian institution, continues its internal collapse. The clergy has dwindled. The sexual abuse scandals (documented by the Pennsylvania Grand Jury Report of 2018, the Australian Royal Commission of 2017, and the French Sauvé Commission of 2021, which identified an estimated 330,000 victims) have shattered the institution's moral authority. The resulting lawsuits have bankrupted multiple dioceses.

The Protestants have their own reckoning. Every year, more people leave. Every year, more seekers find the ancient path. The internet, which the institutions of suppression never anticipated, has made it possible for practitioners to connect across the globe, to access texts locked in archives for centuries, and to practise rituals that were forbidden on pain of death.

What's Emerging

The Zevist Calendar tracks these cosmic rhythms. The transition between aeons takes centuries, not years. But the direction is clear. The age of blind faith, of spiritual captivity, of Izfet dressed in robes, is giving way to something older and truer: the return of the Gods.

Aquarius, the sign of the Water Bearer, represents the age where humanity advances through knowledge rather than submission. The Water Bearer pours knowledge upon the earth. That's what's happening now. The knowledge that was suppressed is returning. The Gods who were slandered are being restored. And you, reading this, are part of it. The Family of the Gods is growing.
