Prayer to Zeus for Protection

This prayer may be spoken at any time when you feel threatened, endangered, or under spiritual attack. It may be spoken during a formal ritual or alone in silence. It requires no props, no candles, no ceremony. The prayer itself is the act. Zeus hears it when it is spoken with sincerity and conviction.

If possible, light a candle and face North (the direction of Zeus in the ritual framework) before reciting the prayer. But if you are in danger and cannot prepare, speak the words wherever you are. The Gods do not require ceremony in a moment of need.

The Prayer

O Mighty Zeus, King of the Gods, by whom all things are set in order and all injustice is brought to account:

I place myself under Your protection. Comfort me and deliver me from all hindrances and snares of those who wish to harm me, both seen and unseen.

Visit justice upon those who seek my destruction. Render them powerless and defeated. Send them to trouble those who trouble me, and let their malice return upon their own heads.

Fill me with the radiance of Your power and Your glory. Give me the strength to stand firm against every attack. Let no enemy prevail against one who walks under Your protection. Let no curse, no binding, no ill will find purchase upon my soul, for I am Yours and You are my shield.

Protect me, Father Zeus, in all my goings and comings, in my waking and in my sleep, in my work and in my rest. Set Your Daemons as guardians upon my path. Let those who serve You serve also as my protectors.

I ask this in the Name of Zeus, King of the Gods, the Unconquered and Greatest.

In the light of Satya (सत्य).

So it is declared. So it is done.

After the prayer, sit in silence for a moment. Visualize yourself surrounded by a powerful blue-white light: the protective aura of Zeus. Hold this visualization for as long as you are able. The stronger your visualization, the stronger the protection.

This prayer may be repeated as often as needed. There is no limit.
