Balance is symbolized by the scales in the sign of Libra. Balance keeps the whole universe in order. The laws of balance are to be accepted and understood, for disregarding them results in ultimate and hard failure.

Balance, as a virtue, is closely connected with harmony and justice. However, each level of these three virtues reflects a different viewpoint of the same principle.

For example, while Justice is correlated with many higher notions, balance describes a more simplified view of what we call “the equal distance between two points” or the "middle point."

Through an understanding of the middle point and even distribution, the Weighting Scales of Libra will enter perfect Balance.

One must stand in Balance if they wish to be in accordance with the laws of the Universe. Then, the gates of understanding will open, as the internal balance will manifest itself outward.

A Disciple asked Aphrodite: "Lady Aphrodite, why does the human species have two feet, two hands, but only one head?"

Queen Aphrodite responded to the Disciple: "In the material world, you need the balance of 2 legs that alternate your movement forward."

In the Emotional world, you need the balance of two Emotions, love and hate, to understand with your heart.

In the Supernal World, you will see the Singular Truth, but only if your two eyes, your two ears, and your two aspects finally become ONE, constituting the Wisdom of the Five."
