Formation

  1. Join the pads of the middle fingers.
  2. Bend the index fingers and let them touch at their first two joints.
  3. Join the thumbs and point them toward the chest.
  4. Bend the ring and little fingers inward; spread the elbows to the outside.

Example Meditation

Form the seal before the chest with the thumbs toward the body. Breathe slowly and observe the pauses between the breaths as they lengthen. The seal calms the mind, brings clarity to problems and supports the work of changing one's character.

  • Slowed breath. The practice lengthens the pauses of the breath.

  • Calm. It calms the flood of thoughts and agitated feelings.

  • Clarity and solutions. The gaps between thoughts grow longer; clarity, new self-observation and solutions follow; memory and concentration improve.

  • Mastery of time. Χρόνος devours what lives in time. The seal of the Lord of Time places the soul above the flood, where the eternal is seen.
