Kundalini Mudra
The left index finger enters the right fist from below and the right thumb seals its tip: the union of the individual soul with the cosmic soul.

- Meaning
- Seal of the Coiled Power
- Tradition
- Yoga
- Hands
- Both hands, interlocking
- Placement
- Low, in front of the abdomen.
- Associations
- Sexual organs; base of the spine.
- Level
- Advanced
Formation
- Make a loose fist with both hands.
- Extend the left index finger and push it into the right fist from below.
- Place the pad of the right thumb on the tip of the left index finger.
- Hold the joined hands as low as possible in front of the abdomen.
Example Meditation
Hold the joined hands low before the abdomen. Breathe slowly and rest the attention at the base of the spine, as in the Temple's serpent work. The seal joins the opposites of the two hands and stirs the vital force; use it as an accompaniment, never as a replacement, for the serpent meditations.
Effects
PhysicalΣῶμα
- Vital force. It awakens or activates sexual force and supports the health of the sexual organs.
EmotionalΘυμός
- Union of opposites. It unites the masculine and the feminine within the person.
IntellectualΝοῦς
- Symbolic order. The right fingers stand for the outer world, the left index finger for mind and soul, the thumb for the Divine.
SoulΨυχή
- Individual and cosmic soul. Its central meaning: the individual soul is joined to the cosmic soul.
AscentἈνάβασις
- The serpent power. Kundalini is the coiled force at the base of the spine. Its rise through the centres is the classical map of ascent; Zevism reads it as the soul's fire climbing toward the Gods.
