Apana Mudra
Thumb, middle and ring fingers join. Apana, the downward breath, carries out what must leave.

Formation
- Join the thumb with the middle finger and the ring finger.
- Extend the index finger and the little finger.
- Form the same seal with the other hand.
Example Meditation
Rest the hands on the thighs in the seal. Breathe out fully and let what is spent leave the body with the exhalation. The seal supports elimination and serenity and makes room for new beginnings.
